Art has drawn me to it for as long as I can remember.  I always knew I had to do something in the art realm.  Creating school bulletin boards and entering art competitions lead to a scholarship and Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bradley University with a double major in Art.

For over 34 years, I have worked as a graphic designer, both freelance and for various firms in the Chicago area.  Since 1980, I have taught oil painting, and now also acrylic, through the School District 211's Continuing Education Program for Adults.  With this semester's start, I am just excited about painting with this class as I was with my very first one.  Every time I see a clear winter sky, I can hardly resist the urge to pull out the pastels and a sheet of a charcoal paper...and I am still learning.
